Where God guides, God provides and you never meet anyone by chance!  The recent trip is proof of that.  I was at Rock Pike Baptist Church with Pastor John Sine, his wife Patricia and their church family in Virginia.  By the providence of God and HIS perfect timing, I was there for their ground-breaking service for their new church.  The amazing part is they are building on a cash principle.  I was able to give testimony that what God did for us, HE will do for them.

Throughout the rest of the trip  I was able to share with churches, small groups, and individuals.  Some people were looking for something they could  do but didn't want to commit to 13 weeks to do it.  When I shared with them, they got excited and said they can do that!  Every time I went for coffee I was able to share with various people. God opened a door for me to teach Bible Class to grades K - 6 at Antioch Christian School.

I received the following note when I got back to Maine.

What a pleasure, meeting and talking with you last Friday.  (I believe it was at Dunkin Donuts

in Myrtle Beach.)  I've told your story to friends and my Ladies’ Prayer group. …If you are ever back

on a Sunday, please come to our church, arms wide open.

                                                                                    Sincerely,

                                                                                    The Eyepatch Lady (Isa. 60:22)

She had an eye patch on when I met her.

At one church I was able to share in a Sunday School class.  They said their church had lots of ministries but not one like that.  Their hearts were stirred to start one.  Another pastor blessed my heart when he caught my passion and was excited to put it into practice where he was going to pastor.  There was something encouraging every day.  I was blessed with very gracious hosts wherever I stayed and by the gifts given to help me along the way.

Thank you for your prayers and participation in this ministry.

From my heart,

Pastor Vail

The following letter was an encouragement to me and I hope it will also encourage you to keep on keeping on knowing you labor is not in vain.

            Hello Pastor Vail.

I hope this email finds you well (happy, too).  I had intended to connect with you long ago.

Thank you so much for sending me Book #4.  As always, I read it from cover to cover as soon

as I removed it from the envelope.

You are most kind to remember me and my beloved son Matthew and to pray for us.  I find

it hard to believe it's been almost a year since he passed.  That day is still so fresh in my mind.

I will be forever grateful to have met you.  Despite your never having met my son, your graveside

service was wonderful.  It was as though you had previously known us.  For that, I will also be forever

            grateful.

Even though almost a year has gone by, I sometimes feel as though I'm still in this horrible dream

waiting to wake up and find Matthew is still with us.  I talk to him every day, asking him to come

visit me, even if it's only in a dream.

I am sure your ministry is bringing comfort to many people, especially nowadays when there is

so much misery in the world.

                                                                                                 Take good care,

                                                                                                 Pat

You shall be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail.
